All in the Family

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man,  there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:28-29

All in the family. The same family—God’s family. Red and yellow, black and white—we are precious in His sight. God loves all His children in the world. Sort of a take-off on an old children’s song,”Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World.” God loves everyone…everywhere. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him….Romans 10:12. And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8-9. What a comforting thought…and imagine what it is going to be like in heaven. A rainbow of colors…and languages. There are, perhaps, a great many kinds of languages in the world, and no kind is without meaning. 1 Corinthians 14:10. God is the God of all—no matter where they are in the world. God’s family—Abraham’s descendants were promised to be numerous. And He (God) took him (Abraham) outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." Genesis 15:5. The promise was repeated to Isaac… "I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws." Genesis 26:4-5. Obedience was the key. Abraham was obedient and faithful. With that same faithfulness—as Abraham’s spiritual descendants—believing in Jesus as our Savior…we have become children of God. All in the Family.

Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, I am so blessed to be part of the family of God. May my life twinkle—as one of the stars that Abraham saw with God—so that His light shines through me.
