No
forgiveness—that is pretty stiff punishment. Everyone is forewarned. No
forgiveness for speaking against the Holy Spirit. To speak something is pretty
much the same as thinking or doing it...so you may want to rethink any tendency
to thoughts or actions that are disrespectful. Children need to be taught about
natural consequences for their action—like having to clean up their spilled
milk. Christians…and others…need to know that there are natural spiritual
consequences for their actions—even for their thoughts, too. This passage in
Matthew and other passages, like the one yesterday from Luke 12, show us that
there are results from blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. The consequence…No Mercy—No
Forgiveness. Forever. Think about it. Would you ever blasphemy the Holy Spirit?
Can you encourage others NOT to blaspheme the Holy Spirit?
Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, please find all that I think, do
and say acceptable to You—for I never want to blaspheme against You. You are
worthy of praise and adoration.
