Offended?

Then the disciples came and said to Him, Do You know that the Pharisees were displeased and offended and indignant when they heard this saying?  He answered, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be torn up by the roots.  Let them alone and disregard them; they are blind guides and teachers. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a ditch. Matthew 15 12-14 Amplified

Pharisees offended! Why would the disciples care about the Pharisees? Very noble of them to feel that way. Jesus wasn’t concerned about the Pharisees feelings. He knew they were not following our Heavenly Father—and were leading those who were also not seeking to live lives pleasing to God.

Are you ever offended at Jesus’ words—His teachings? May it never be. If the Holy Spirit is convicting you of something—that is a clue that you need to change your ways. Pray that Jesus—through the Holy Spirit give you insight to change your ways—to make your attitude acceptable to the Lord.

RSVP: Jesus is telling His disciples and us to leave the hypocrites alone. Following Jesus and His teachings is a better way. How will you respond to Him?

Prayer ~ Lord, please give me insight to discern the truth, the way—and the life. Your way to live and to follow Your path.
