Miraculous Power

When Jesus had finished these parables (these comparisons), He left there. And coming to His own country [Nazareth], He taught in their synagogue so that they were amazed with bewildered wonder, and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” Matthew 13:53-54 Amplified   

Where did this Man, Jesus, get His wisdom and power? Miraculous power! From where on earth did His power and wisdom originate? Maybe the answer is in Heaven?! Jesus taught in their synagogue—and at the temple in Jerusalem. Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me." John 7:28-29. God the Father is the One who sent Jesus. His wisdom has existed forever. In the beginning the Word (another name for Jesus) already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. John 1:1-4 NLT. Jesus is Wisdom—Power—Creator…and the ultimate Teacher.  

RSVP: Jesus is inviting us to know Him…to have faith, to trust His wisdom and power. Will you trust Him today? 

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, I am amazed at Your miraculous wisdom and power. The great power and wisdom that You have from Heaven—that has always existed with You and with our Heavenly Father.
