Yours,
O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the
majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the
dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. Both riches and
honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and
might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. Now
therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name. 1 Chronicles 29:11-13
God is above
all. King of kings, Lord of lords. He is in control of our lives and the entire
creation. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. We are in awe of God. He is
worthy of our praise. Everyone worships—humans are made to worship. We have to
be careful what or whom we worship. For
they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the
creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Romans 1:25. Idol
worship can happen so easily…honoring sports, accomplishments, money,
accomplishments, pride, or possessions. God is above all and worthy of our worship.
RSVP: God is
calling us to realize that He is sovereign—the ultimate authority. How will you
respond to Him today as King over your life? Will you worship Him?
Prayer~ Now
to Him who is able to keep us from stumbling, and to make us stand in the
presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority,
before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25
