Break one…you’ve broken them all. That’s the way I look at it. I certainly can’t judge others, since Jesus said that to think against one of the laws is to break it. So how can I, knowing that at some time in my life I have broken at least one of the Ten Commandments, condemn someone else for their lifestyle or for something that they have done? That is between them and God.
Do not judge others, and you will
not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you.
Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37
Jesus
amazingly said that He doesn’t judge on His own. God tells Him what to do, how
to judge.
I can do nothing on my own. I judge
as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will
of the one who sent me, not my own will. John 5:30
That’s it
for God’s Laws and the judgment associated with breaking those commands. What
do you think? Write your comments below.
For
the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who
has broken all of God's laws. For the same God who said, "You must not
commit adultery," also said, "You must not murder." So if you
murder someone but do not commit adultery, you have still broken the law. So
whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the
law that sets you free. There will be no mercy for those who have not shown
mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he
judges you. James
2:10-13
Prayer
– Lord Jesus, thank you for Your guidance and interpretation of judging. Give
us wisdom to see how these commandments fit into our lives…and how we can honor
You by loving God and loving our neighbor as ourselves.
Meditate.
Read God’s commands and listen to what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount about
how we should live.
Verse
of Salvation ~ I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you
will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to
understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives
until the day of Christ's return. May you always be filled with the fruit of
your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus
Christ--for this will bring much glory and praise to God. Philippians 1:9-11
