What
are you going to do now that you’ve found the LORD? Good question. Will you
praise and worship Him? Will you share Him with others…or try to keep Him to
yourself? Will you trust Him with your life now and your future?
The
Psalmist—whoever it was—in this Psalm today starts out by suggesting we sing! I
love to sing…although I’m often off key and can easily tell that when I’m singing
in the car by myself. Ha! What a laugh! But God doesn’t care…He might be
laughing with me—as He rejoices in that I am giving Him glory as I worship Him.
He is great and definitely worthy of praise and honor!
Have
you ever shared your thoughts with others and told them how God is working in
your life? It is a good thing to do. First of all, it makes you look at your
life for yourself. What do you see God doing in your life? You’ve found the
LORD—and surely that is making a difference. How? Friends of mine are so good
at journaling…or writing daily Letters to God. I’ll admit that I occasionally—but
only occasionally—write in a journal or keep up with a prayer log. I know that
keeping a prayer journal helps me to see just how the LORD is working in my
life…answering prayers…or that I just need to keep praying. Daily I claim the
promise that God is with me…He will never leave me, abandon me, or forsake me.
What amazing things has the LORD done for me? I grew
up going to church…but never was presented with the concept of Jesus as my
personal Savior until I was in college. Then when I prayed to have Jesus
forgive me of my sins…and come into my heart…it was like a huge burden actually
lifted from my shoulders. Almost daily for the last fifty some years I’ve been
breathing in God’s love…and exhaling stress, sins, and regrets or unmet
expectations. There have been some days that I just didn’t let go of the trials
of the day…that was my own poor choice. If nothing else, I’ve learned the power
of letting God take care of my burdens…and trusting Him. I cannot do life on my
own—and I am glad to have the LORD, the Bible, Christian friends and family in
my life. God makes all things beautiful in His time. Not on my schedule. I’ve
had to wait…and am still waiting for answers—but I haven’t given up on praying
or on God. He promised to always be with me. I’ve promised to never leave Him
or forsake Him, too. Greatest promise I ever made. I’m singing a new song to
the LORD for that. He is worthy of my praise—even if it is off-key!

Prayer
– LORD God, You are worthy of my praise. I am continually singing to You in my
heart—may Your light shine through me to others that they would know how great
a God You are! I look forward to You coming back to earth, Jesus, and to an
eternal life with You as my Lord and Savior. May all that I do now be worthy of
Your judgment in the coming day.
Meditate.
Read God’s word, listen to what He is saying and share it with others.

God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a
wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and
say. 2
