No Fear…Trust Him

Meditate. Am I trusting in Jesus?

And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 1 John 4:13-17

Jesus is our Savior. He is the Savior of the world. Trust Him. God is love. Seems simple. If you believe, how deep does your trust go? … as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. There is no fear in perfect love. Trust Him.

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18

Do you feel like you need or want a Savior? Is life going good for you right now? What about last week, last month, and of course, last year? You needed a Savior then…you needed Jesus! When there is fear or worry in our lives—we need Jesus. He told His followers…and us…to give our worries to Him. Cast them on Him. Peter continues this teaching as he addressed Christians scattered around the world. We will experience hardships—that is part of life, but God hasn’t forgotten us and He cares about us. Pay attention to what is going on around you…and don’t give up. Be strong.

Beware of a roaring lion.
He's looking for someone to devour.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen.
1 Peter 5:6-11

Wise advice during these days of uncertain trials. Be strong…stand firm. Jesus will give you more strength, if you need it. Just ask.
