Meditate. Think about what Jesus wants you to do with your life.
Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile. When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying. Here are the names of those who were present: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (the Zealot), and Judas (son of James). They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. Acts 1:12-14
Jesus had just ascended into
Heaven…now what? They continued to meet together, pray and probably eat and
sleep in this upstairs room where they were staying. They were an example to those
that would be considered part of the early church. Keep on praying and
encouraging others. Continually. Can we do any less?
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first
heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to
give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always
honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good
fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
Colossians 1:9-10
What good fruit are you producing in your life?
Isn’t that our goal? To learn to know God better and better. To have a deeper relationship with Him…we must know Him better and better.
Prayer ~ Lord God, help us to know You better and better…day by day…minute by minute. May we produce the good fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that brings You honor and glory.
Verse of Salvation ~ For God
chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on
us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns,
we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up,
just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
