Don't Tie Up That Rock

Honoring a fool is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot. Proverbs 26:8

What a visual picture. A kid with a rock tied to his slingshot. What an ugly mess that will be when he tries to send that rock into action. Here it comes back to him. Ugh! Imagine what would have happened to David if he had done such a stupid thing. Goliath would have killed him and all the Israelites in a heartbeat. History would have been changed. Any fool who is honored is like that stone…splat. Not a pretty sight.

Prayer ~ Lord, help me to honor You first always in my life—and not some fool…or myself.
