Lent
– Day 11
She (Wisdom) will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying.
Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her
tightly. Proverbs 3:17-18
The Tree of Life is…a symbol of the hope of
eternal life.
After Adam and
Eve ate fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, The Lord God said… "Look, the human beings have become
like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from
the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!" Genesis
3:22.
Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the
Spirit and understand what He is saying to the churches. To everyone who is
victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. Revelation
2:7.
Tree of Life. I’ve come to love that symbol of the
Tree of Life—knowing that it is treasured by God, honored by men, and satisfies
everyone who dreams…especially of Heaven and eternal life. I frequently wear a
Tree of Life necklace reminding me of God’s love and promise. Psalm One also
reflects on such a tree…
How blessed is the man who does not walk in
the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the
seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he
meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of
water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and
in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but they are like
chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the
judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD knows the
way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Psalm 1:1-6
NASB.
Prayer
~ Heavenly Father, I look forward to standing before You and the Tree of Life in Paradise one day…as I begin my eternal life with You. I appreciate Your law—Your Word—and
I ask that You would allow me to produce good fruit that would bring honor and
glory to You.
