But all who listen to me (wisdom) will live
in peace, untroubled by fear of harm. Proverbs 1:33
Listen to Wisdom. What a great promise as a
reward. Peace—no fear of harm. Who wouldn’t want that? But what does someone
have to give up to get that reward? Ignoring wisdom—and where does that get
you? The previous verse says…death. That is not just a bodily death…but a
spiritual death. The great lake of fire. I chose life. I chose to listen to
wisdom and live in peace. To live with peace as promised by the Lord—the Source
of all Wisdom. What about you? Everyone makes their own choice. Listen to
Wisdom…or ignore it?
Prayer
~ Dear Heavenly Father, give us grace today to hear Your voice calling us to
listen to Wisdom—to listen to Your voice and to seek the peace that You so
generously promise. Thank You for allowing us to hear Your Voice.
