Lie down in
green pastures…sleep contentedly. Sheep won’t sleep unless they feel safe. If
they are going to lie down it has to be in a secure place where no wild animals
will attack them. They depend on their shepherd to take care of them. So, how
about you? What do you expect of your shepherd? What do the green pastures
represent to you? Peace, security, rest, provisions and hope? The Holy Spirit is
that good shepherd providing just what we all want…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is
no law. Galatians 5:22-23. Lie down in His green pastures…and never be
discontent again.
Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, fill me with Your fruit that I
would be pleasing to You—and eternally secure in the hope that You provide.
