This prophesy is a future blessing for the
Jews. How wonderful for them that the Lord is not only “in their midst” but
that He is rejoicing over them! Rejoicing! I see that as kind of like the
Prodigal Son. (See Luke 15:10-32.) In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in
the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10.
The son who spent his inheritance realized what a good life His Father offered
him…and he returned home, repentant. That’s how it will be for the Jews who
turn to God at the end of time. He will rejoice over them and restore them to
their position as His chosen people. The Holy Spirit will be in that rejoicing,
too. With all the tribulations that the Jews have had throughout history it is
so wonderful to see that things will turn out good for them in the end.
Prayer
~ Dear Lord, I rejoice with You over Your promise to the Jews—what a blessing
You are to them…and they are to You.
