What Do You Know About Heaven?

Statue of St Francis of Assisi at Capernaum.
Thanking God for Miracles.
Prayer – Lord, please give us insight into what You want us to know about heaven—Your home…that will one day hopefully be our home, too. I believe in You, Jesus, as my savior and as the savior of the world. Thank you for creating a heavenly home for us--as well as saving us from our sins. It's a miracle that by God's grace we are saved.

For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 2 Corinthians 5:1

Meditate. What is heaven to me?

I recently asked friends…What do you know about heaven?

Here is their response:

Perfect.

Satan will not be there.

Chapters Revelation 4 & 5 give us a picture of heaven, with streets of gold.

No tears, pain, or sorrow—just as Jesus said.

Perfection—no link to the past—so that we have no recollection of past feelings, sorrows, or regrets.

Paradise.

Praise.

Absence of all impurity as in the evil and turmoil we face now.

No need for bottled water.

Indescribable.

Interesting.         `

It will be a place where we realize that “Jesus paid it all.”

We’ll sing hymns in heaven.

Working—unto the Lord.

Fulfilled promise.

Jesus has promised that He is preparing a place for us in heaven. He’ll be back to take us there.

What does heaven hold for you? What do you know about heaven?

Verse of Salvation ~ After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting, "Praise the LORD! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God. Revelation 19:1

Knowing the Lord is what life is all about.

Knowing Him is Life.
