Have You Heard About Jesus?

With the Lord's authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. But that isn't what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Ephesians 4:17-23 NLT

 

Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Good advice…let the Holy Spirit help you…guide you. Don’t be stubborn—get your act together and be willing to change. Like Paul was saying to the Christians in Ephesus… throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life. Off with the old…and on the with the new. Get renewed. As Paul taught the church at Colossia…Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him. Colossians 3:10 NLT. Be like Jesus. That is a good goal. My goal. Get renewed…become like Jesus. Humble, obedient, loving, considerate, generous, high integrity, reliable, respectful, self-sacrificing, loyal, passionate, compassionate, forgiving, gentle, and self-controlled. Do you see those qualities in your life?  

 

Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, renew my mind that I would think and act like Jesus.
