Prayer – Lord, I understand. Come anytime. I’m ready…all the time.
Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he
would not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the
time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected." Peter asked,
"Lord, is that illustration just for us or for everyone?" Luke
12:39-41
Meditate. Again…be ready.
Luke wrote about Jesus speaking to His disciples and a crowd of thousands of followers. He talked about a lot of things…and it included being ready for the Lord return. That would be His own reappearance. His advice is to be ready at all times. Listen…and count up all the times that Jesus gave that advice and it was repeated again and again throughout the New Testament. How do you think people felt when Jesus didn’t return during their lifetime? How do you feel about waiting for Christ Jesus coming back? Will it be in your lifetime? How is your relationship with the Lord?
Verse of Salvation ~ The faithful love of the LORD never
ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin
afresh each morning. I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!" The LORD is good to those who depend on
him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation
from the LORD. Lamentations 3:22-26
