Bridge a relationship with the Lord. Japanese Garden - Spokane, Washington |
Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.
You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many
will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets
will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and
the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be
saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the
whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Matthew
24:9-14
Meditate. Consider persecution around the world.
Here in the United States, we’ve experienced very little
persecution. Our Christian brothers and sisters around the world are actually
dying because of their belief in Christ. Here is where people may grow
spiritually cold and will be easily deceived when things get tough and a false
prophet comes to “help” them. That rampant sinful nature might just become too
tempting or overwhelming. Open our eyes Lord that we can be strong for You and
encourage—even teach others to seek You…not some satanic deceiver. Is the end
near? We just trust in You and we’ll wait patiently, enduring to the end when
You’ve promised to return for Your believers.
Verse of Salvation ~ Show me the right path, O LORD;
point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for
you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm
25:4-5
