An Unexpected Thief

Memory Verse this week…
Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them." John 14:21 NLT

Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected. Matthew 24:43-44

A blue door in Israel to ward off evil.
Will it keep the thieves away?
Thieves are never expected. It isn’t like they are invited over. One of my brothers’ home has been broken into several times. He has a great security system now…and since he is retired he is home more often so he has been there to prevent intruders. A couple of times people have come to his door supposedly looking for someone else—but they were really “casing the joint” to see if anyone was home. They didn’t send their colleagues in to do their “snatch and go” since someone was there…they just went on to another unsuspecting, empty home. Empty. No one home. Is your heart that way? Empty? Are you ready for Christ to return? This scripture passage tells us the Son of Man…Jesus…will come when least expected.  Will He find your heart empty of His love and grace? Who is Jesus to you?

Jesus is the Son of God…He is God incarnate. He said… "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. Believe in Jesus. He came to give His life for the salvation of all mankind.  Do you believe? Are you ready?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus—You are pure, honest, righteous, forgiving and sinless. Only You can be the Messiah—the Savior—for all mankind. Only a pure Savior could be the sacrifice for man. Thank You for being our Messiah—our Savior.
