April 11 – Beyond What We Can See

Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Psalm 36:5

As far as the eye can see—and beyond. That is how far God’s lovingkindness and faithfulness reaches. Beyond our expectation and imagination. We are just a small part of God’s plan, His creation, but He cares for us, beyond our expectation and imagination. He is faithful and filled with kindness. He is love. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8 Do you know God and His love for you? You may want to begin by becoming acquainted with His creation.

Training Tip – If you have a telescope or a pair of binoculars then let your children stay up late enough on a weekend so that they can view the moon and see some stars or planets. Is there a local astronomy club? Often they have monthly public star gazing and in the late spring or summer they may have a star party. For those near Richland, Washington see the Tri-City Astronomy Club monthly publication at http://www.tricityastronomyclub.org/PrimeFocus.pdf. There is a Star Party April 20th at the LIGO facility.

Is there a planetarium near you? If not, then on your next vacation try to locate one and take your children to visit it to see some of the planets and our moon. Usually the planetarium will have shows during the daytime so that the children won’t have to stay up past their bedtime. It is awesome to view universe that God has faithfully and lovingly created.

LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; for You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1
