Graduation Goal

Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 (NLT)

Meditate on goals and God.

Congratulations on your AA Graduation from Trident College, Amelia! We are so very proud of you!

Paul intructed the church at Thessalonica to live a quiet life. By nature, Amelia has a gentle quiet spirit. She has endured a lot of medical issues beginning with the diagnosis of Juvenile Arthritis when she was barely two. Have you ever heard of dysautonomia, POTS, MALS, or gastroparesis? She knows them well…and others. You’d think she would want to be a doctor since she is already so knowledgable of rare conditions, but ever since she was just a little tyke she has loved books and reading. She wants to be a librarian…but also now because of paralegal courses she’s taken, her passion is to be an attorney and a law librarian. Great goals. With her AA under her belt—she is now headed to Lander University in the fall…actually late summer to continue her studies.

Paul’s encouragement to live a quiet life is congruent to that of Jesus’ teaching of being kind and compassionate. The important thing is to believe in Jesus as Savior, just as Amelia does.

You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. Luke 6:36

Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:29

Our future is in God’s hands, no matter what our goals are. God has a plan. We can merely trust Him. Rely on Him to guide us in the way we should go. Pray…and find your peace in His word.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Proverbs 3:5-9
Trust God and wisely choose your goals. No plan is a plan to fail.

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, Thank You for the peace and quiet in my life that only comes from devoting my time and energy to You. Please continue to guide me along the narrow path that You have provided that began when I first believed in You as my Lord and Savior. My goal is to be in You, always.

Verse of Salvation ~
Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16
