Are you Amazed?

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law. Matthew 7:28-29

Meditate. Amazed.

This ended Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Considered all the teaching and encouraging messages that He gave. During that time it is very likely that He healed people, too. That was one of His missions—to heal sick.

And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all. Matthew 4:24

He was compassionate to the masses. He cured them no matter what their disease.  In His Sermon on the  Mount, He was not only guiding them on how to live, but offering spiritual healing. There were thousands of people there listening to Him. No YouTube video recording or any social media sharing. People talked to each other and shared what they knew, saw, and heard about this great miracle worker. He drew quite a crowd.

What do we learn about Jesus from His Sermon on the Mount? He was generous with His wisdom—He didn’t just keep it for His inner circle  of disciples, but freely taught  everyone. It was recorded for us all throughout all time that the New Testament has been available. Jesus was compassionate, caring, loving, kind, insightful, generous, and believable. The list could go on and on. He is incredible.

I am amazed. Are you?

Prayer ~ Thank you, Jesus, for Your teaching and Your obedient sacrifice of Your human life for the sins of all mankind…even mine.

Verse of Salvation ~ If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
