God is All-knowing

How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! Psalm 147:5

Three days later they finally discovered him in the Temple, sitting among the religious teachers, listening to them and asking questions. All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. Luke 2:46-47

Meditate. Our minds are finite. God is infinite.

As a twelve-year old boy, my mind is finite. I’m still learning and growing. I am amazed that I learn so much, so quickly. When I visited the Temple in Jerusalem and sat learning, actually questioning and sharing with the Rabbis there, they were amazed at my understanding and the answers I had concerning questions they were discussing. You know how Rabbis like to discuss, ponder, and actually debate the meaning of particular verses. I sometimes found it almost hilarious at some of the thoughts they voiced on particular scriptures. One thing they did always agree on was that God is great, has absolute power and knowledge! Yes. Our Almighty God—Yahweh Himself—is an awesome God. I am proud to serve such remarkable God. The one and only God, just as He stated in the commandments He gave Moses.

You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands. Exodus 20:3-6

My God is worthy of the honor of my love and obedience. I will praise and glorify Him forever.

Prayer – Lord God, a thousand generations is a long time. Please be merciful to me, and to my family. I know that there have been generations before me within my family who have not honored You, but I worship and adore You. You promised that You will never leave us or forsake us. You also promised that if we seek you, we will find you. I claim those two promises and rely on You to keep Your promises. I love You with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and strive to keep Your commandments.

Verse of Salvation ~ "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." Deuteronomy 30:19-20
