Dare to Hope

Prayer – Lord, I faithfully put my hope in You! Every morning. Every day.

Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!" The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD. Lamentations 3:21-26 NLT

 

Meditate. Consider God’s faithful love that never ends.

 

What does it mean to be faithful? Faithful—trusting, reliable. Put your hope and trust in the Lord. Search for Him—find Him while there is still time. As David told his son, Solomon, search for the Lord and serve Him with your whole heart and mind. That is being faithful.

And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work. 1 Chronicles 28:9-10

We may not be building a Temple like the great Temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem, but we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Be faithful to God. Honor Him.

Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

 

The faithful love of the LORD never ends! God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are faithful.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son. John 1:14

 

God is faithful to us…are we faithful to Him? It is our choice. Chose today…dare to hope. Be faithful to our faithful and loving God.

 

Verse of Salvation ~ Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
