Prayer –Lord Jesus, I am completely and entirely grateful for Your purity—so that You could be our sacrifice—our ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for interceding for me. I am pleased that the Father Almighty had such a brilliant plan—and that You were able to be part of it…forever. Dear Jesus, Thank you for loving us…my sister, me and our family. We praise You for who You are and always will be—King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Therefore He is able also to save
forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make
intercession for them. For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest,
holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the
heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up
sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because
this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. Hebrews 7:25-27 NASB
Meditate. Consider salvation.

Time is
precious—people and relationships are precious. May we all value what we
have…and enjoy it to the fullest while we are here. Family and friends—know
that I love you—more than my heart can hold.
These verses in the book of Hebrews were the only verses I found marked in Shirley’s new NASB Ryrie Study Bible, with the words “completely, entirely” noted in the margin. I’ve been using that Bible for the last thirty-four years. Shirley was a devout believer in Jesus as her Savior. She knew that He is able to save forever and that Jesus was pure, innocent and undefiled—the perfect sacrifice
for our lives. I will see her one day in Heaven. There will be peace in the new Jerusalem. We will rejoice and worship God Almighty and Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, together at their throne. No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and His servants will worship Him. Revelation 22:3. Will you worship and find peace with us in the New Jerusalem?
Verse of Salvation ~ How beautiful on the mountains are
the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and
salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! The watchmen shout and sing
with joy, for before their very eyes they see the LORD returning to Jerusalem.
Isaiah 52:7-8
Friday’s Feast at the King’s Table
Next week I will face lithotripsy shock wave therapy to obliterate
three kidney stones that are too large to pass. I wouldn’t wish kidney stones on
anyone…so prevent them if you can. Here’s a list of foods to avoid.
Generally, literature says to avoid stone forming foods
that commonly contain oxalate: beets, chocolate, spinach, rhubarb, tea, most
nuts, too much animal protein including red meats, poultry, eggs, and seafood.
Limit salt. Limit sugar and alcohol.
Foods to eat along with drinking plenty of water (1
gallon/day): lemons, oranges, low fat diet, two servings of dairy products
daily, lots of vegetables and fruits.
It was noted in National Kidney Foundation information that eating oxalate-rich foods within the same meal as eating and drinking calcium foods binds the oxalate and calcium to that they are bound in the stomach, not the kidneys. That would suggest that it is less likely for kidney stones to form. There is hope!
There are lots of variables associated with kidney
stones, including heredity as well as food choices, so there are no guarantees.
Eat healthy and exercise.
