God Sends Angels Like the Wind

Meditate.

For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father." God also said, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son." And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, "Let all of God's angels worship him." Regarding the angels, he says, "He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire." But to the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. Hebrews 1:5-8

God acknowledged His Son as God. Our God is three parts—one God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Angels aren’t God. They, like us, worship Him. One day we will all stand around God’s throne in Heaven.

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, "Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!" And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. Revelation 7:9-11

When you look at this passage in context, you will see that this crowd…this vast crowd…is made up of those who died in the great tribulation. That, hopefully, will not include us. Depending on how Revelation and other end time prophesy is understood, most believers will be raptured or resurrected before the tribulation. Still, this is an example of people and angels worshipping God together in Heaven.

God sends His angels…but it is His Son who reigns, rules and is worshiped. Glory be to God. It is awesome to think that we can have a relationship with God the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. Humbling to consider that the very creator of the universe and of mankind and the one who judges us is interested in what we think, feel and do. He wants to have a relationship with each of us.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth's foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the LORD's blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Psalm 24:1-5

How devoted are you to spending time with God? He always has time for you. Make time for fellowship with Him today.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. 1 John 5:20

Prayer ~ Dear God—as it was written in Psalms…"Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment." Psalm 32:5-6. Thank You for forgiving my sins and for wanting a relationship with me. You are an awesome God.

Verse of Salvation ~ For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. Romans 5:10-11
