So Jesus sent two of them into Jerusalem
with these instructions: “As you go into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of
water will meet you. Follow him.” Mark 14:13
In Jesus day men did not carry water. That
was women’s work so it was obvious to the disciples who they were supposed to
follow. Remember what Jesus said at the beginning of His ministry…Follow me.

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his
tax collector's booth. "Follow me and be my disciple," Jesus said to
him. So Matthew got up and followed him. Matthew 9:9

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any of you wants to be my
follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow
me.” Matthew 16:24
Follow Jesus…follow that man with the water
jug. Who are you following?
