Where Were You During the Eclipse?

The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.  Acts 2:20

What was it like for you to watch the solar eclipse? As it got darkish and cooler we excitedly knew we were experiencing the real thing. Along with our grandkiddos we viewed the crescent shape of the sun with our pin hole boxes and safe viewing glasses. The sun become dark…and it was quiet—bugless for a few minutes. The temperature dropped an astonishing nine or ten degrees—and the kiddos put on their sweatshirts. It didn’t get totally dark and we didn’t see any stars—but we were not in a Total Eclipse region—only 96.2%.  As the sunlight returned to normal it was amazing…we had experienced the eclipse! A rooster crowed—yes, there was seemed to be some confusion for the animals. How did it affect you?

Have you followed the blood moons of the last couple of years? Do you think God is trying to tell us something…to pay attention to His prophesies? Have you felt any earthquakes lately or ever? Plenty of people will travel to see a solar eclipse, but not go an area to put themselves in danger of an earthquake—even if those could be accurately predicted.

I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. Revelation 6:12

Are you telling others about the Creator of our great universe? This is certainly a time to proclaim His majesty. If you don’t…who will? Can you even consider being silent?

As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, shouting: "BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!" Luke 19:37-40 NASB

Prayer ~ Jesus, You told the waves and the wind to be still and silent…and for us to be still and know that You are God. I’m listening to You…even now as I pause and focus on You. I know You are with me always…I am in Your presence and I thank you for the peace, hope, love and joy that You give to me…to my family, friends and neighbors as well. I shout with my whole being…Blessed is my King, my Savior, my Creator…Jesus. King of King and Lord of Lords.
