God knows your heart. He knows what you need in every area of your life, but He wants you to ask Him for it anyway. Pray.
I am praying to you because I know
you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Psalm 17:6
Talk to
God just like you would talk to any good friend. Simply lay out your wants and
needs to Him listing them one by one, if necessary.
Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust
in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who
richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a
godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who
called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 (Underlined for
emphasis.)
Trust God
that He will provide, although we all know that God answers prayers in His time—so
what you ask for today, may not be answered today…or even tomorrow, but be assured
that He has heard your prayers.
I love the LORD because he hears my
voice and my prayer for mercy. Psalm
116:1
Yes,
trust God.
Trust in the LORD with all your
heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust God
to hear your prayers and to answer them. Ask Him for what you need. Maybe ask
for wisdom first…and He will give you that, too. Choose wisely the things for
which you ask.
If you need wisdom, ask our
generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5
Don't
worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need,
and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 (Underlined for emphasis.)
Prayer
– Lord, hear my prayers. I’m unloading my heart to You. Forgive me for my sins…the
unmet expectations…and unresolved conflicts I’ve had with You. Please give me
wisdom and guide me as I’m walking with You day by day…moment by moment. Thank
you for hearing my prayers…and for loving me in spite of my faults and shortcomings.
Meditate.
Consider God’s response to your prayers.
Verse
of Salvation ~ But I keep praying to you, LORD, hoping this time you will show
me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure
salvation. Psalm
