How to…Accept Christ as My Savior

Prayer – Lord, there are people out there who don’t know You as their Savior…or are still hesitating to take that important step. Give them the courage to seek You first in their lives. I’m grateful that I did—but most of all grateful that You loved our Heavenly Father enough to be totally obedient to Him—and to give your life for us. Thank you.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Meditate. Think about God’s love.

Consider the ABC’s of salvation. A simple method for taking steps to recognize and accept Jesus as your Savior. He went to the cross to redeem us from our sins.

A – Acknowledge or Admit that you are a sinner.

No one is righteous—not even one. Romans 3:10

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

B – Believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10

C – Call on the Name of the Lord

Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. Romans 10:13

It looks too straightforward, too easy, but don’t wait. It is worthwhile considering its life changing effect. That “saving” means to be “saved from your sins” and given the promise of eternal life with God—in Heaven! A much better place to be than an eternity away from the presence of God—in darkness, hell, or a Lake of Fire. Make your decision to believe in Jesus…in God… today. Life is short…we don’t know when our time will be up…or when the Lord will return for His church.

Verse of Salvation ~ God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9
