Meditate. Consider your new life…every day.
…Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
You are a new person. Not the same ole, same old—new revitalized, renewed with a new life. It’s a gift from God. God gave us His Son and a new life. Best gift ever.Have you accepted God’s gift…and thanked Him for it? My grandmother taught me that you can never start using or wearing a gift until you’ve thanked the person who gave it to you.
Prayer ~ Lord, I am listening
to You…and to Your Word. I am thankful for all You provide…and for my life…as I
hear You saying:
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to
do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be
thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to
Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but
test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every
kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:15-22 (Underlined for emphasis.)
Verse of Salvation ~ So I want
you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles,
and they will accept it." Acts 28:28
