Pray. While There is Still Time

Meditate and then Pray.

Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, I will confess my rebellion to the LORD. And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you." Psalm 32:2-8

Fold your hands and pray.
Whether you are 2 or 102 - PRAY.
Repentance is good for the soul.
Repentance is a wonderful thing! I remember when I accepted Jesus as my Savior what a huge burden fell off my shoulders. I actually felt lighter. I wasn’t a horrible person—in fact, I saw myself as a good person—but still like everyone I was a sinner (Romans 3:23) and as I asked for forgiveness the Lord took the burden of sin off my back. He continues to do that as I continue to repent. We can’t let sin build up in our lives. We are forgiven, but we still need to turn away from those errors—call it what it is SIN. I will confess my rebellion to the LORD. During this time between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, it is a time to examine our lives and repent—turn away from those things that we have been thinking, saying and doing that offend the Lord. We know when we’ve done wrong. It is time to make it right. Pray. Do it while there is still time.

God promises in the focus scripture..."I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you."  Let the Lord guide you in HIs paths of righteousness as you seek Him in prayer...and repent.

Prayer ~ Lord God, You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should! I will obey your decrees. Please don't give up on me! Psalm 119:4-8

Verses of Salvation ~ Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good. I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. LORD, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me. Psalm 119:37-41
