Think about your relationship to the Lord.
Meditate on it.
About this time Jesus was informed that
Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices
at the Temple. "Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all
the other people from Galilee?" Jesus asked. "Is that why they
suffered? Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins
and turn to God. Luke 13:1-3
Repent or perish. Pretty straight forward.
The choice is for each of us to make. Repent. Turn back to God. Do it
now…before it is too late. You’ve time. Time to think during the duration of this
COVID home confinement. Time to focus on your attitude towards God…towards
Jesus. Time to return to the life that God wants for you.
But you must not forget this one thing, dear
friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is
like a day. The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people
think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be
destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as
unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise,
and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and
everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. 2 Peter 3:8-10
We don’t know when the Rapture will
happen…but Jesus told us to be ready.
You also must be ready all the time, for the
Son of Man will come when least expected.
Luke 12:40
Part of being ready is repenting. Do a
search for yourself on “repent” and you’ll find lots of encouragement to
repent.
Gather before judgment begins, before your
time to repent is blown away like chaff. Act now, before the fierce fury of the
LORD falls and the terrible day of the LORD's anger begins. Zephaniah 2:2
How often do you read Zephaniah? Bet it has
been awhile since you cracked open that minor prophet. The message is there…repent.
Act now. The choice is yours. How are you using your time?
Prayer
~ Lord Jesus, You said…My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they
follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can
snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more
powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand. John
10:27-29. I am listening to Your voice.
