Meditate – What else have you got to do?

Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His
disciples came to him privately and said, "Tell us, when will all this
happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?" Jesus
told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name,
claiming, 'I am the Messiah.' They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars
and threats of wars, but don't panic. Yes, these things must take place, but
the end won't follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of
the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. Matthew 24:3-8
Did you hear about the earthquake yesterday
in southern Idaho that was felt in part of Washington State? Famines, plagues, wars, pestilence. With the COVID-19 keeping us at home for
another 30 days we have plenty of time to read up and listen to the reports of
the plagues, earthquakes and strange weather events occurring around us and
around the world. The flooding in Spain! The earthquake in Salt Lake City,
Utah. The tornado touching down in West Richland, Washington—only miles from my
home—and this is NOT tornado country!
Is God trying to tell us something? Think
about it for yourself. Search the Scriptures and see what has been predicted…and
what has come true already.
Prayer
~ Lord Jesus…just as Your disciples asked You, we wonder what sign will signal
Your return and the end of the world? You told Your disciples about those
signs. Then You said… You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will
come when least expected. Matthew 24: 44 NLT. Be ready all the time. Thanks for
the warning. I’ve confessed my sins; I’m ready and obediently waiting. No fear. Blessed
be the Name of the Lord. Come quickly Jesus.
