One More Time – Remind Me

This Week’s Memory Verse…
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26

I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught. John 14:26-27 The Message (MSG)

The Holy Spirit will make it plain. If you don’t understand what Jesus was saying…ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. He will remind you. Dig deep into God’s word—search for yourself what Jesus taught…what He said. The Holy Spirit will remind you as you need Jesus’ words to be active in your life. That is His job and He does it well, but we…you and me…have to listen for that still small voice so that we don’t miss the reminders.

Trust
From two to nine...to forever.
My reminder this week has been to “trust” Jesus. A young lady, very dear to my heart, was recently diagnosed with Osteochondritis Disseans. Big name describing that a bone that has died in her knee. She is only nine years old…and I just have to trust the Lord on this. He has a plan…and He knows what is best for her. Any worrying that I might do won’t change the prognosis. We’ll find out on Monday what the Orthopedic Doctor has to say. Until then…wait and trust. No worries.

Prayer ~ Lord God, I praise You, adore You…and trust You. You are an awesome God. Powerful, just and merciful. Please hear the prayers of those who are sick…and heal them. Give us all wisdom and understanding…like that that You gave Solomon as he wrote the book of Proverbs. Wisdom that we would seek You with all of our hearts, souls, mind and strength. That is the desire of my heart…to serve You…to love You…to know You more deeply each day.
