I realize that the more I know…the more
there is to know. Isn’t that the same with you? With discovering knowledge
about God…that is even more challenging. He is the source of all knowledge. I
can never discover everything God is
doing—and what He knows. Wisdom comes from God.
In my search for wisdom and in my
observation of people's burdens here on earth, I discovered that there is
ceaseless activity, day and night. Ecclesiastes
8:16
Solomon searched for wisdom. I do, too, but
we will never discover everything. We don’t need to discover everything this
side of the heaven. Wisdom will be perfect in heaven.
Can you solve the mysteries of God? Can you
discover everything about the Almighty? Such knowledge is higher than the
heavens—and who are you? It is deeper than the underworld—what do you know? Job
11:7-8.
God is so knowledgeable and takes care of
so many people at once…all around the world…all through time. …no one can discover everything God is doing
under the sun. Discover as much as you can about Him. He is worthy of our
time, energy, praise and life.
On All-Saints day, we stop to consider the
devoted followers of God—who have given their lives in service to our Lord and
creator. They are true saints—worthy of the honor they will receive in heaven. The
eve of this day has been distorted into a masquerade of satanic characters,
princesses, cartoon characters and whatever people feel like celebrating. A big
party time. There is nothing wrong with having a party...but who or what are
you celebrating?
Prayer
~ Lord God on this hallowed eve of All-Saints Day, protect the innocent
children who are out to have a good time…a fun party. Guard their hearts and
minds that they wouldn’t be taken in by the evil that slinks in the background
wanting to deceive.
