Wisely Rejoice and Be Glad

Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to Him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and His bride has prepared herself. Revelation 19:7

Who is this bride of Christ? The church is the bride of Christ. The body of Christ—the believers.
Christ is also the head of the church, which is His body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So He is first in everything. Colossians 1:18

And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself. Ephesians 1:23
How has the bride…the church “prepared herself?” Just like the Jewish bride who gets ready—adores herself and waits for her groom to come and get her in accordance with the Jewish wedding customs—the church is to get ready and wait for Christ’s return. She (the Church) has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear. For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's holy people. And the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." And he added, "These are true words that come from God." Revelation 19:8-9.

Christ’s blood shed for the believers “prepares” the church providing them with the white robes they will wear in heaven. Everything has been taken care of by our Savior. We just have to wait…and while we wait we’ll want to do good things…good deeds…for Him. Those deed won’t get us into heaven, they’ll just be the frosting on the cake.  A promise fulfilled.

So with all the wisdom you’ve been given, rejoice and make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Give Him the glory.

Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100:1-5.

This is going to be the wedding of a lifetime—The One that you will want to attend. All believers WILL be invited. Have you received your invitation?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, I rejoice knowing that You have made the ultimate sacrifice for me, for my family, friends and neighbors—for everyone. Thank You. I look forward to seeing You—as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, coming for Your bride—the church. All Praise to You. Glory, Glory, Glory!
