You can’t buy or sell truth. Wisdom,
discipline and good judgment aren’t something that you can purchase at a
grocery or department store…or even to a bookstore. In which aisle would you
find them if you could? Where do you get them? Can you get them here or there…can
you get them anywhere? Get Truth and never sell it. It is not a commodity that
you can barter or sell to others. Each person must seek the Truth for
themselves. Seek and you will find.
Well…you can get them by asking God for
them. He has a huge warehouse full of Truth and Wisdom, as well as Discipline
and Good Judgment. Ask Him. Jesus told His disciples…You haven't done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive,
and you will have abundant joy. John 16:24. Wisdom with joy—abundant joy.
What could be better? Search the scriptures and learn from Jesus’ teaching.
Shop via a concordance or search engine. Make your “wish list” and dig into
God’s Word. He’s got some great treasures for you to find. I love that God
repeated things over and over…hiding His treasures in the Old and New
Testaments. Can’t find what you are looking for? Then switch to another Bible
translation. Look for a word or phrase that is similar to what you are looking
for.
Jesus is the Truth. Jesus told him (Thomas), "I am the way, the truth, and the
life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.
Jesus is Wisdom…as described by Paul…God has united you with Christ Jesus. For
our benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with
God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin. 1 Corinthians
1:30.
Jesus is our source of Truth and Wisdom. He
can give it to each of us…to you.
Prayer
~ Dear Jesus, once again we humbly ask for wisdom—for You are the source of all
wisdom and truth.
