Are you still searching for the right way to go? Wanting to discover the purpose for your life? Are you following rainbows, brilliant sunsets, searching on Google for answers and adventures? Try searching in God’s word…the Bible. I know God has answers to every question. A person just has to patiently search—rightly dividing the word—studying it so that it makes sense and you can see the truth that God has placed before you. You can begin at the beginning by delving into Genesis… just by reading the book of John in the New Testament. Verse by verse…what is God saying to you?
Work hard so you can present
yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not
need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. Avoid
worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. 2 Timothy 2:15-16
Then…when
you’ve studied God’s word the challenging part is to apply it to your life.
But don't just listen to God's
word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22
It takes
an intentional decision on your part. Can you do what is right, fair, true,
honest? The choice is yours.
God guards the path.... Candy Mountain path near Richland, WA. God's word is sweet to those who find Him. You will find the right way to go. |
Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. Proverbs 2:2-9
Prayer ~ But giving thanks
is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to
you the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23
Meditate.
Consider God’s guidance in scripture. Read God’s word and listen to what He is
saying.
Verses
of Salvation ~ For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but
against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers
in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore,
put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in
the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand
your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's
righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so
that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the
shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your
helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the
Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your
prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians
6:12-18
Friday’s Feast at the King’s Table
What
is on your plate today? Is it filled with fresh vegetables and fruit? I
recently read that one should eat eleven daily servings of fruits and veggies daily.
That is a lot of chomping. The American Heart Association has recommended 2½ cups for vegetables and 2 cups for fruits. Of course, there are
recommendations for meats, dairy, and grains, too, but I’m focusing on
increasing my veggie and fruit intake. How about you?
Avocado
toast is a good way to start the day! I’m headed for the kitchen now!
