Omniscient

Prayer – Lord, You know everything…and see me when I’m sleeping and when I’m awake. Thanks for loving me and accepting me…just as I am…and for guiding and encouraging me to become more—spiritually. I am grateful that You hear and answer my prayers.

The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. ... The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. Proverbs 15:3, 29

Meditate. Good versus evil.

Can you see everything at once? God can.

God sees everything. He is watching everywhere. Does that comfort or distress you? Do you know God and His Son, Jesus Christ—the Savior of the world?

God has promised to never leave us or forsake us—so I find His constant presence reassuring, protective, and comforting. He not only sees everything, but He hears us—especially those who are seeking Him, the righteous ones. Solomon wisely addresses God's omniscience in Proverbs.

Don't excuse yourself by saying, "Look, we didn't know." For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve. Proverbs 24:12

That “repay all people as their actions deserve” could be scary. We are accountable to God. Does that influence your decisions and actions? It does mine. I don’t want to intentionally displease God.

God is Light.
In Him there is no darkness.
Verses of Salvation ~ This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. 1 John 1:5-10
