During 2013 spiritual
character was the focus of this Banquet
With The King as we feasted on His word. Applying spiritual character
traits to our lives isn’t just for little children—it is useful to all of us—to
help us grow closer to the Lord. As it is written in Romans…And not only this, but we also exult in our
tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and
perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope
does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our
hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5. In addition
as we apply those character traits, we walk as Jesus did. We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man
who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar,
and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly
made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live
in him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6 NIV
