Creation of the Future World

Prayer – Lord, I acknowledge that You are all powerful. Help me to see what it is You want me to do today…and how the strength of our relationship depends on my devotion to You through prayer. Bless me, my family and friends as we reach out to know You more and share You with others. We believe that You are the one and only God—who made heaven, earth and everything in it.

And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about. For in one place the Scriptures say, "What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him? Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says "all things," it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority. What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position "a little lower than the angels"; and because he suffered death for us, he is now "crowned with glory and honor." Yes, by God's grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2:5-11 NLT

Meditate on this passage and understanding it.

Jesus tasted death for everyone. What does death “taste” like?

Everyone is destined to die—but spiritually those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior will         never die. That is what eternal life is all about…eternity with the Lord. He suffered that death on the cross so that we would never have to do that. Jesus’ blood was the ultimate sacrifice that God needed, not just to cover but to irradicate, to remove the sin that Adam and Eve had rebelliously committed by eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. So, Jesus set us free from the curse of that sin—and in doing so we become holy and are adopted by God the Father. Glory—glory! We are children of God—brothers and sisters of Jesus Himself.

It is Jesus that will control the future world that is mentioned in this passage from Hebrews. The future world has the New Heaven and the New Earth. The old ones will pass away.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. Revelation 21:1

Jesus created this current heaven and earth…and He will create the New Heaven and New Earth. Will you choose to be part of that? Believe in Jesus—the Savior of mankind.

Verse of Salvation ~ Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—"When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life." Titus 3:3-7
