What Have You Heard About Jesus?

Prayer – Lord Jesus, You know what we think, feel…and what we are going to say even before we say it. It is nothing new to You that some people just don’t know You…or choose to want to know more about You. I want to know You more each day. Show me more truths about Yourself…and about our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit, too. Show me how to be righteous and holy.

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:21-24

Meditate on righteousness and holiness.

What have you heard about Jesus? How well do you know Him and His teachings. Do you know that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life? The only way to our Heavenly Father?

Jesus told him (Thomas), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!" John 14:6-7

Paul was telling the people at the church at Ephesus to give up their old ways—in that culturally sinful city—and to renew their minds. Get on with life with a fresh attitude and wholesome thoughts. Renewed!

Get a new nature...a new life like the butterfly.
Renew your mind.
New Attitude...New Thoughts.

We get a new nature when we accept Jesus as our Savior and put Him first in our lives. This new spiritual nature allows us to live as God created us—like Him—totally righteous and holy. Pure and spotless. Can you see yourself that way? It is a choice we make, not just once…but moment by moment…day by day as we honor God. Just as Paul taught…we need to throw off our old sinful nature and renew our minds…our thoughts and attitudes. It is an intentional choice.

Verse of Salvation ~ As for us, we can't help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
