For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God's servant to proclaim it. Colossians 1:19-23
Meditate. Don’t drift away…even in your thoughts.
Don't drift away.
Stay the course. Paddle hard.
Don't let Satan deceive you.

Don't
drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. Don’t drift away—don’t be deceived.
Nothing would make Satan happier than to deceive a Christian—one who loves the
Lord.
The
Good News has been preached all over the world…the known world at the time of
Paul. Now there are areas of the world which still have not heard the gospel.
Mostly these are within an area known as the 10/40 window that covers the
Middle East, part of Africa and Asia at the 10 degrees North to 40 degrees
North Latitude. Even if you don’t live in the 10/40 Window, have you heard the
Good News? If so, have you shared the Good News with others? Does your life
reflect the love, joy and peace that is yours in Christ? Are you compassionate,
as Jesus was? Do you realize that God lived in Jesus Christ—as a true human
being. Yet God the Father allowed His Son Jesus to die for the sins of mankind.
He died and was resurrected from the dead—to live again, forever. That fact
allows you to do exactly what Paul was writing about in the focus scripture
today…to stand blameless—totally faultless—before God. Believe it! Stand firm
in your faith—don’t be deceived—don’t drift away. Keep focused on the Lord and
what He has done for you. Then share the Good News—you are saved by Jesus’
sacrifice.
Prayer
– Lord God, help us to share Your Good News with others—that they might believe
and be saved. We praise You—it is so good to be reconciled to You.
Verse
of Salvation ~ In that day the people will proclaim, "This is our God! We
trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the LORD, in whom we trusted. Let us
rejoice in the salvation he brings!" Isaiah 25:9
