Look at What is Happening in the World Today

Prayer – Lord - Lord, please give us wisdom and understanding about the predictions as recorded in the Bible for future. Some people are scared of things written in Revelation—but You have given us a peek—a glimpse, foretelling, Your prophesy of the future of earth.

Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet him. Don't be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don't believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. Don't be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

Meditate. Consider prophesy.

Would you want near you?
Don't be misled--don't panic.

Do you need clarification about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Take a look at what is happening and has happened in the world recently, beginning with the establishment of the nation of Israel. God has brought His chosen people back into the land that He promised to give to Abraham over three thousand years ago. God has had a plan all along for that land of Caanan. Now most of it belongs to Israel and there are conflicts all around and within it. Nations from the north, including Russia, Iran, and Turkey have military troops in Syria bombing Israel—even as you read this. Read Isaiah, Ezekiel and Matthew 24 for clues about the conflict, wars, and rumors of war that are occurring there and around the world.

Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah.' They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don't panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won't follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. Matthew 24:4-8

Jesus Himself said not to be misled. That would be to be fooled or deceived. The time to listen up is now.

Don't be fooled…that is just what Paul told the Christians in Thessalonica. Remember Jesus had told His disciples the same thing…don’t be deceived. Don’t be easily shaken or alarmeddon’t believe those people who say the day of the Lord has begun. Paul tells us there is going to be a great rebellion against God. Can you see it coming?  The “day of the Lord” that Paul focuses on is going to be a terrible day and one that we can’t tell exactly when it will occur. It will involve lots of bloodshed for the Lord’s enemies as predicted in Jeremiah.

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. 2 Peter 3:10

For this is the day of the Lord, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, a day of vengeance on his enemies. The sword will devour until it is satisfied, yes, until it is drunk with your blood! The Lord, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, will receive a sacrifice today in the north country beside the Euphrates River. Jeremiah 46:10

The day of the LORD is near, the day when destruction comes from the Almighty. How terrible that day will be! Joel 1:15

Yes, the day of the LORD will be dark and hopeless, without a ray of joy or hope. Amos 5:20

Remember that our hope is in the Lord. Trust Him and He will show you the path that lead to Him…to salvation and eternal life.

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7

Where do you put your hope and trust? The choice is yours. In Jesus? In your own understanding?

Verse of Salvation ~ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8
