will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the
world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live

you. He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he
who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose

Orphans. All
alone. Imagine how they feel…or maybe you’ve experienced it? Unloved, rejected,
unwanted, and abandoned. But that is not how Jesus will treat anyone. He
promised to not leave us as orphans—but He will come back and we’ll live with
Him. That is IF we love Him and keep His commandments, He will love us and His Father will
love us. What a promise! Imagine yourself wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus
and our Heavenly Father. This is not a new promise. Look at Psalms 82. Justice
and rescue. Those are comforting promises.
Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the
rights of the oppressed and the destitute. Rescue the poor and helpless;
deliver them from the grasp of evil people. Psalm 82:3-4

Being adopted into God’s family is one of the best things about knowing
God—about being able to call Him, “Abba, Father.” This is described in
Galatians.
But when the right time came, God
sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom
for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as His very own
children. And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son
into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father." Now you
are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are His child, God has
made you His heir. Galatians 4:4-7.
A passage in Ephesians should make you feel wanted by the Heavenly Father.
Imagine God’s arms wrapping around you…
God decided in advance to adopt us
into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is
what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5.
Adopting us gave Him pleasure—made Him happy! If
that could fill Him with joy—how should it make us feel? Overwhelmed by the
love of the Father? I feel privileged to be part of His family…forever. Jesus
is telling us we are not orphans. We may have felt abandoned at some time in
our lives…but we aren’t abandoned or forsaken. God want us to be part of His
family. How will you respond to this message today?
Prayer~ Jesus…my brother, my Savior, my friend, my creator, my
sustainer…You are my everything. You are everlasting, King of Kings, Lord of
Lords. I continually praise Your name and humbly bow before You and the
Heavenly Father. My Abba Father.
