Dedicated to Lisa and Mike – May this provide you with some food for thought and guide you in the way of our Lord as you and your families sit together at meals daily.
Introduction - A Spiritual Banquet
Dinner with a King would be a great honor.  Just imagine daily dining with The King.  Not just any king, but The King of Kings.  Each meal will be a gourmet delight.  What would you desire today?  Chinese, French, German, Israeli, or how about some Indian or perhaps Thai?  Heavenly food, you say?  A Spiritual Banquet?   And what is that?

As God instructed Moses in Deuteronomy 8:3, and Jesus refuted Satan in Matthew 4:4, “Man must not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”   We need spiritual food daily, as taught in the Lord’s Prayer Sermon within the Mount, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

We wouldn't go a day without feeding our physical body so why would we go a day without feeding our spirit with the word of God? If we don't feed our physical body it will die. I think the same is true for our spirit as well. I try to Live by "No Bible no breakfast. No read no feed." Sometimes easier said than done though. Your soul should hunger for the Word. I'm hungry for some "daily bread".
