The Lord Judges from His Throne

Meditate.

But the LORD reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne. He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. Psalm 9:7-10

Search—to look for intentionally. Critically study and investigate.

Search for the Lord…you will find Him. He is searching for those who love Him…for His sheep.

-          But from there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. Deuteronomy 4:29

-          But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, "The LORD is great!" Psalm 40:16

-          Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. Psalm 105:4

-          But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. Jeremiah 17:10

-          The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. Lamentations 3:25

-

Sheep grazing in Israel.
For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search and find my sheep. Ezekiel 34:11

Are you searching for the Lord…and endeavoring to know more about Him every day? He is searching for those who love Him…and He will ultimately judge everyone. Note that the Lord judges from His throne in Heaven…not from a cloud or from somewhere on earth—but as the ruler, the King of Kings, from His Heavenly Throne. Where will you stand in His judgment?

Prayer ~ Dear God, You have made everything beautiful for its own time. You planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of Your work from beginning to end. From Ecclesiastes 3:11. Give us wisdom to understand Your ways and Your will, Lord God, that we would live to please You in all that we think, say and do. To You be the glory forever.

Verse of Salvation ~ But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, "The LORD is great!" As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in his thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay. Psalm 40:16-17
