Have You Rejected Jesus?

Meditate.

I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. I will not judge those who hear me but don't obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken.  John 12:46-48

Have you rejected Jesus? What would it take for you to put your trust in Jesus? Are you stumbling around in the darkness…making bumbling mistakes because you don’t make wise enlightened decisions? Do your choices seem great at night, but in the morning light that wasn’t such a good choice. Do you choose to rebel against your parents, spouse, teachers, boss or supervisor? Can you obey…God, your superiors, others in your life or even yourself? Have you rejected Jesus?

What did Jesus say about those who reject Him? He will judge them. We cannot do enough “good” in this life to make up for all the sins we commit. Being “good” won’t get you through judgment and into Heaven…if that is where you want to go someday…or assume you will go because you have been “good.” Jesus taught His followers…

Narrow Gate
Leading into the Garden of Gethsemane
Israel

You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.
Matthew 7:13

Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." John 14:6

So, I think this scripture is saying…choose Jesus, choose eternal life. Reject Jesus, choose judgment that results in the wide path to hell. Which will you choose?

Prayer ~ Lord God, Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?... No power in the sky above or in the earth below--indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35, 39 Thank You, Lord, that nothing can separate us from Your love.

Verse of Salvation ~ And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. Romans 8:38

The “us” in this verse is those who love the Lord…who believe in Jesus as the Son of God, as their Savior. Are you in the “us” group? Are you part of God’s family?
